Gone is gone. No archive, no cooling-off period, no "are you sure" email three days later.

Delete it in the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Uneven and sign in.
- Go to the You tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete account again in the dialog.
Your account is closed and you are signed out. Your profile leaves discovery at once, so nobody sees you in the deck from that moment on.
No longer have the app installed?
Email privacy@unevenapp.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". That is all we need — do not send us any other personal details.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder, delete the account, and confirm by email. We action deletion requests within 30 days of verifying them, and usually within a few working days.
Deleting the app does not delete your account. Uninstalling only removes the app from your phone; your profile stays live and other people keep seeing it. Use one of the two routes above.
What is deleted, and when
Deleted immediately from live systems when your account is closed:
- Your account and sign-in credentials (your Amazon Cognito user record, including your email address).
- Your profile: name, age, the five basics, and — depending on your side — your photos, or your voice intro, transcript, opener, prompt answers, facts and avatar.
- All media you uploaded: photographs and voice recordings, deleted from storage.
- Your approximate location cell, so you disappear from discovery.
- Your matches, your conversations, and the messages in them, including voice messages and their transcripts.
- Your swipe history.
- Your device push notification token, so notifications stop.
Deleted from encrypted backups within 30 days. Backups exist so a hardware failure cannot destroy other people's data; they are not readable by our staff in the ordinary course and they roll off on that schedule.
What we keep, and why
- Safety and moderation records — reports filed about your account, blocks, and the outcome of any review — for up to 12 months, so that a removed account cannot simply be recreated and so we can answer a complaint or legal claim. These are kept in the minimum form needed for that purpose.
- Service logs containing IP addresses and diagnostics, for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Support correspondence, for up to 24 months.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
One thing we cannot delete: a message you sent to someone else stays in their copy of the conversation, in the same way an email you have sent stays in the recipient's inbox. If a message of yours is being misused, report it and a person will deal with it.
Want something short of deletion?
You can edit or remove most of your profile content inside the app without closing your account, and you can turn off location, notifications, microphone and photo access in your device settings.
